🌊 PAKISTAN: In 2022, because of floods:
→ More than 700 people кi11ed.
→ Over 1,140 people injured.
→ Approximately 72,500 homes damaged
→ More than 570 schools destroyed
→ Some 130 bridges and 3,000 km of roads destroyed
→ Over 110,440 livestock were кi11ed
→ Over 400,000 hectares of crops were damaged.
💦 For the third year in a row, Pakistan has suffered from heavy rains and flooding. According to the National Disaster Management Authority since the beginning of the rainy season in 2022: hundreds of people have d1ed and hundreds of thousands have been forced to move to makeshift camps.
Dozens of medical facilities have been affected, and medical care has become unavailable to those who desperately need it.
Flood-affected people receive little or no help.
AUGUST 20-21, 2022.
💦 AFGHANISTAN: Rains have caused severe flooding in the LOGAR PROVINCE. Unfortunately, many people were кi11ed and injured.
The country's authorities have appealed to the international community for humanitarian assistance to those affected.

💦 INDIA: Heavy rains hit the north of the country. Sadly, dozens of people d1ed, there are missing and injured.
SOME 700 ROADS BLOCKED.
In parts of the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand, hundreds of villages were flooded. Houses were washed away by sudden heavy torrents.
MID-AUGUST 2022
💦 SUDAN: The deaтh toll since the start of the rainy season in May has reached 77 people. More than 14,500 homes have been destroyed.
🌊 Between August 16 and 19, heavy rains and floods affected over 80% of Sudan, with over 2,500 people displaced from their homes.
📈 The authorities hide behind the numbers of statistics, but behind each of them are human lives, broken fates, hopelessness and hunger. And no one waited for the calamity to touch them.
