🌀 INDIA & PAKISTAN: For more than a week the people of India and Pakistan had been anxiously awaiting the onset of the extremely strong storm Biparjoy. It formed over the Arabian Sea on June 6 and was hurtling toward the coast at over 160 kilometers per hour. Totally, over 180,000 people in India and Pakistan were evacuated.
JUNE 15, 2023
🌊 INDIA: "Biparjoy," which means "calamity" or "disaster" in Bengali, may be the longest-lived cyclone in the Arabian Sea.
On June 15, a cyclone struck the coast of India in GUJARAT STATE and moved inland, leaving behind destroyed houses, fallen trees and power lines. Several people became casualties of the storm and more than 20 were injured.

💦 TÜRKIYE: The city of SAMSUN in Turkey was hit by water. And this despite the fact that it has not yet recovered from the floods that it suffered from a week ago. Water again filled the streets and destroyed infrastructure. The heavy rain also caused a retaining wall between two apartment buildings to collapse. This caused serious damage to vehicles parked nearby.
